Read on, read on... sorry about the bad layout, from time to time the blog goes funny. Try downloading FireFox to fix any problems with viewing the site. I keep the blog to maintain memories I'm likely to forget and share them with the world. Typing stuff is also easier than writing with a pen and saves paper:) You can select which blog subject I've written under on the left, although most things will be Thoughts and Feelings or Rant (its too easy to rant about stuff)

More money, fewer problems.

See, my problem recently has been I'm lying around the house doing not a lot. I haven't even done the mountain of washing opposite me. Farkin useless is both what I'm being and how I'm feeling.

At times like that I'm thinking why aren't I writing more? I've nothing better to do!

Anyway, desperate as I was, I wrote to my previous employer asking for some more work, as I was re-doing a university essay before when they asked me if I could work extra. I submitted the letter and wondered just how long it'd take before they got back to me. I'm checking my phone every few hours every day to see if they've called me back, which they hadn't.

I forgot about them. I thought they forgot about me. Then my phone interrupted the intelligent and probably political conversation I was having earlier. Guess what? It was them!

"We'd like you here, Thursday, 11am."

Cool.
10 minutes later I get a call from them again.

"Actually, can you work tomorrow as well?"

Well of COURSE I can!

The moral of my story? I don't know. Something along the lines of if you do stuff now, it will help you later. "What goes around." Without the negativity that normally goes with that proverb!

Sell yourself, my people. If people want an interest, they'll get at you.

Tidy your room!

I'm so glad I'm a bit short sighted.

I was just moving some stuff around in my room because it becomes a death trap for me when I get up in the mornings.

It just so happened that Insy Winsy spider decided to come out and stretch his legs on a Christmas stocking (still lying around, yes) then wait to see my reaction as I saw him basking in the light of my bedroom.

How very charming of him to do so!

I'm less scared of spiders than I used to be these days. I'm a grown man, no need for that childish screaming, especially at this time of the night.
I walked casually into the bathroom and got a cup to cover him with.
He looked at me like "Wh-what the fuck you doing, man?" and started running about under it.

He's not going anywhere fast. He's been confined to the bath until someone finds him tomorrow and releases him.

I'm still shuddering now to think I was living alongside it though. So close to where I sleep. So near my trainers...
Ugh.

Christmas Eve is among us!

Move over Xmas Eve Eve, the real Xmas Eve is here! The one where the shops actually end their Xmas sales and close early, making any last-minute shopping impossible!

Yes, that means there'll be a few people on my Xmas present list (if you qualified for it) who I shall be avoiding until gifts can be found. Not that anybody should get their hopes up over socks...

Feeling 'Blah'

"Oh dont mind me. I'm just in one of those moods"

I cant find the time for stuff. Same time I wanna do everything at once! Erratic behaviour. Energetic yet unable to move from bed. Perpetual hunger.

Dance really messed me up. It tired me beyond what any bedroom activity could do to me! And it was only 2 1/2hours, but wow, its effort finding your feet after a month!
Soon I shall add the Box to my ever growing portfolio of moves though. Stacking books in the library is what I have to thank for that!

Speaking of work, a woman and her mother were forever in my favour t'other day as I helped them find the stuff they needed and said I should be the manager of the library! Ha! I'd love the income! But I guess that's why I love my job. You give to the public, they become yours to play with. They should put a word in for me. Why pay new staff? Give me da commissions.

I should mention, we've a new temp. They reckon its cheaper to pay them instead of existing staff. Well screw her.

That's it

Monsoon Season!

The heavens could rain all night long if they wanted to!

Normally without these weather circumstances I'd be able to use the PC and just message people normally but coz of the risks of a surge I cant.

As if using a computer during a storm wasn't enough, picking up a telephone during one can be risky too, but can you imagine the gruesome impact of being struck by lightning on the toilet?

Most never give it much thought, but I think its safer not to go! You could fry if you took a slash at the wrong time. Even making it past that, suppose you're hit as you wash your hands. Don't get caught off guard!

I hope the rain cools the mainland down a bit. Its Irony personified when you're sat indoors, sweating in your boxers while it pisses down with rain outside. Swimwear or short skirts are cool, but I've seen so many this summer. This season's turn-on: What you DONT get to see!

There needs to be a curfew for people like me...

If you're like me, a Night Owl, as in someone who goes to sleep real late and wakes up midday, there needs to be a set time to get to sleep.

See, there's a particular time at night where things get creepy. It usually occurs around 2am. There's a time when your house begins creaking, things outside stir and shadows start to move.

I know there's a family of sparrows that nestle below the gutter outside my window. They squabble in there about this time.
The neighbour's cats choose this time to challenge eachother to dominance contests. Its even more distressing when my window is open. It sounds like a baby wailing at first. It makes me jump.
The central heating drops for a while and the pipes expand as temperatures fluctuate.
Also at this time, often a helicopter circles outside. There must be a big statistic for accidents or chases along the dual carriageway, but why does the spotlight manage to creep through my curtains as it turns around?

Guess its up to me to get to bed earlier...

Vexations

The phone situation is getting worse for me. When its been on a long time I can only see the screen when its in the slid down position. So I cant input anything on the keypad. There's something wrong with the screen refresh rate

Great just great when there's a long night planned tomorrow, just when you need to be in reach the most. Will I choose the right path and go see what Ms. Rowland is up to for her birthday, or go claim a replacement phone off of O2 at the store? My phone isn't just for texting and making and receiving calls, its my camera, Walkman replacement, instant messenger and portable organiser all in one.

Sounds like the kind of story you tell your psychiatrist, huh?

I'll have to think about this one. Where would we be without our mobiles??

My Phone is Phunking Up!

Yup. My black beauty is going all funny. First the camera was going a little funny, the pictures came out a little pastelly. That was cool for a minute, until I actually wanted to take some decent pictures.
Now there's problems with the screen. Its wonky! Dammit.
Luckily I took out insurance. I'll claim it off of that. For once in my life I'm actually apprectiative of insurance companies ha!

Be on the lookout for my replacement phone over the week. It'll be just like I went back a phone. Heheh...
I wont be able to email remotely til I get a GPRS phone again. Like anyone knows what I just said....

Cant get to sleep again!

Piss it! Its so frustrating not being able to get to sleep at night when you have work the next morning.
I've tried all I can to sleep, music, reading, tossing and turning (well, notsomuch the tossing...) and nothing is working.
I dont think I'm on a caffeine high. I had tea ages ago, so I dont think that's why I'm so up. Its probably due to me waking up so late today (technically that's yesterday)

I wont be able to get my contacts in tomorrow morning either coz my eyes will be all red and dry too.

This sucks like a EDIT: CENSORED 04/05/07! 3am now means just over five hours sleep :(

Shoutouts to all the narcoleptics out there.
Lucky bastards

Got 'women' on the go

If books were women, I mean. I'm speaking metaphorically for those who haven't clicked.

So metaphorically speaking, I've had three 'women' on the go for several months.

It started at Christmas time when I picked up a thriller of a women, quite novel, she gave me a first person perspective but I never knew she was a spy novel...

Next was a chunky girl called 'Redwall'. She was too childish though and full of riddles. Not only that, she was way overdue. So she's been on the side for a while.

Then I found a compact hardback by the name of 'Fahrenheit 451.' She was hot, and it didn't just show through her name. She had me burning til the end. Just the right size, fit right in the palm of my hand, I loved her in and out of context.
But earlier today she ended it with me. 158 pages down the line it was all over. I'm sad, it ended so abruptly, but I'm happy someone else will pick her up at the library some day...

I live on, another page turns. I'll be going back to my other women later;)

Untitled

Past midnight. Sitting on the sofa in the sitting room. Air, stinking of tobacco. I've been awake a little over 13 hours. The trouble with waking up earlier than usual is the rest of the day can drag, especially when you spend it alone.
I've done the mowing, hoovering and the laundry and finished my slave shift by watching Goldmember to get my spirits back up.

It was my sister's confirmation today, so eventually I had to dress up smart, but I wore my shirt untucked because that mass was LONG! The priest kept staring at me as if to ask "Where the fuck you been the past 3 years!?"
That was another drag. Then there were the choir singers trying to outsing one another by singing a key higher, something that especially annoys me in churches!

Also today, Shock-G announced he was quitting (see below), which saddened me.I emailed his webmaster to see if there was anyway I can help out with the maintenance of his site.

Best of luck to Shock though. Bet he doesn't have to do ironing tomorrow!

Its all... Satan

I do get vexed when routines aren't stuck to. Because it disrupts something further down the line. And it especially vexes when its ME not sticking to them.
As a result of being up reading til late, I woke at 12 and had to go with Mum to drop off some stuff at the hospital for her, which took longer than expected because I had to look for the matron in charge.
Later I'm desperate to call Matt (its his birthday) but I'm told to cut a hedge in the garden for the new shed.
By now its way overtime. I grab the phone, jing Matt but no reply, so I think I'll try later. But there is no later, Mum's on the phone the rest of the afternoon. And I'm not pestering because I respect other's family business.
So I'm sorry Matt. Coz I funked up one thing I never managed to successfully contact you. And I dont settle for an informal text message either, bru'!

Looks like I'll have to see you tomorrow...

Ever laughed til you were crying?

Well today I think I did!

I'm there in the library preparing to serve the next customer, she hands me her pile of books and I issue each of them until I get to one without a label inside to stamp, so I grab a label and the Pritt Stik to stick it in. Only all day I'd been quite clumsy and lazy, dropping books etc. I tugged the lid off the Pritt Stik but I wasn't gripping it properly and it flew several into the air and across the library and hits an innocent bystander on the head!!

I don't think the average person would really find it that funny, but I creased up over it and luckily the woman I was serving saw the hilarious side of it too and we stood there giggling too!
The fact I did it somewhere where you're meant to remain composed added to the humorous tension too, and some of my colleagues witnessed the calamity too which made it even funnier

I've already choked myself laughing over this several times today. I cant stop thinking of it so I'm writing it up to not forget.

Haha!

Wha SUP?

The mercury in the thermometer, that's what's 'up.'

Hot damn. In the literal sense too. There's nowt I can do to keep cool apart from strip. My room is the most stuffy in the house, yet when its winter, its the coldest!

Its worse that I was working today. Never done a Sunday relief before. Let me tell you this though. One of my most boring days at work ever. All the normal jobs to do were done. And the sun was blazing down upon me through the glass ceiling. To add to that there was no timetable either, I didn't know what to do half the time!
Didn't like my manager either. She looked too inexperienced and a bad communicator as well.

Its all over though. It was only four hours. All done. Some extra $£$£, so dig that! I just hope I can sleep tonight without the fear of bugs coming in through the window, or waking up in a cold sweat (I'll be sweating anyway) after hearing a catfight outside and thinking someone's being knifed!

I bid thee goodnight!

Yawning in the Morning

Its another late late night. 3am. I just wish I never had such a long nap this afternoon or I wouldn't have this problem, but I WAS TIRED. Its not like I sit down all day at work. Even though I try.

Now I cant sleep coz of noise outside. I always shit my cacks when I hear cats fighting and screeching outside. Only this time it sounded like it was a cat being kicked by a human. I peeped out the window but saw nothing. So now I'm hearing things!

I suppose you'd be horrified to know I have several 'symptoms' of schizophrenia then? LOL. Hey, I'm in the right age category for it! Indeed I've been looking at cases for the disorder and some pieces fit. Only there's no voices in my head, and each schizo case is different.
I'm only scaremongering, people! I've headphones on now so there's no more cats audible.

Shwang!
