Read on, read on... sorry about the bad layout, from time to time the blog goes funny. Try downloading FireFox to fix any problems with viewing the site. I keep the blog to maintain memories I'm likely to forget and share them with the world. Typing stuff is also easier than writing with a pen and saves paper:) You can select which blog subject I've written under on the left, although most things will be Thoughts and Feelings or Rant (its too easy to rant about stuff)

Back to the Oldschool

Well an odd start to the first part of the week.

Tuesday is the reignition of some year 6 friendships. Not sure if that's the right phrasing, because from what I remember, alot of such friendships would not have been as strong had we all gone to the same colleges.
Most of the night was "So, hi! What university you going to?" with lots of nervous laughter. Odd atmosphere seeing as I hadn't seen these people in 7 years! Not only this, but when I began talking, conversation was focused on me which became harder coz I was running out of stuff to say eventually. Sorry guys, had to resort to toilet humour!
Still, it was great catching up with the "Remember the time when..." and the other tales of our younger days.
Also, funny to see most people look the same. Some look better, ie girls, some have abstract fashion ideas! But we all got on so well and I think that's all that matters.
Cant wait to see some of them again. So see you all next Wednesday.

Regardless of tomorrow's results...

Despite two years of 'slaving' and the perpetual drag of time throughout my A-Levels, come tomorrow (actually, come midnight on the UCAS website) our exam results will be brought to light and the future of a university place will either become clearer or more faded
Despite the go on about results coming and the "O my gods im shitting it!!" I haven't really given it the slightest of thought towards what tomorrow holds.
Therefore, regardless of tomorrow's results I aim to be the same person. Perhaps a little down and feeling sorry for myself for a short while, tiny chance I'll be overexcited, but we cant let it get to me.
Mrs. Yeadon was the Devil in a Lancs, old age, skin sagging disguise of a teacher whose constant droning lead through many a lethargic lesson with her.
Mrs. Simons couldn't control her own VCR, let alone our class
Ms. Newstead, gorgeous though she was walked out on us
Mrs. Bartholemew never understood anyone, that includes my unique sense of humour and sarcasm
Still, my heart goes out to Mr. Dell and Mrs. Crown. Why? Coz they spoke on the level of adults to me, put up with my terrible punctuality and gave me time to do my own thing. Not to mention both believed my excuses for being late!
So while i doubt I'll be impressing anyone with my grades, except perhaps in Media Studies, and a small chance in Critical Thinking, its just a case of waiting and keeping cool about things in the mean time. I've had a fantastic summer, drunk loads and splashed out extravagantly. I wont let exam results get me down.
So fuck all the examining bodies.

2005 : L.E. (Life after English)

Its actually harder than I first thought adapting to life after English, I have to admit. Suddenly the world seems so explicit now. Nothing will be in 'context' from now on. My definition of context that where there's a mountain of snotty tissues, there's me, after sitting an exam. How blunt, I know.
See, now I'm seeing a world being governed by freaks! Happy am I to stand at a train station writing this as the woman silently nattering away to herself under the train time stand, which itself is not running due to a technical fault. I can actually see her agreeing to whatever she's saying as she walks around. Its borderline hilarious on the tip of being worrying.
Worrying as the noble gentleman offering a lost Australian (who I assume to be a tourist or a frustrated cover teacher) eyeing up the pretty blonde as she leaves the station. WHAT A PLAYER!

But this is all I can fit into a mobile email, so I'll end it here. Let this late train take me back home...

B'bye.

English: One down, one to go

Yea, troth; verily thou hast read correct.
The section of English exams that involves Shakespeare has passed. As has the Tennyson phase. Right now its make [up] or break as I prepare for the synoptic paper next Wednesday. Oh hell no I'm not looking towards the near future!
The way I see it though, my future's in the hands of the examiner. Sitting in their bureau, eyeing over the words I penned and scratching their grey beards while shaking their heads in dismay.
Were they able to read the skillful writing I magically weave in writing stories, poetry, whatever, even down to these blog entries I'd have a chance to impress. But it cannot be.

I answered the questions as well as I could. I'll get what I've got coming. Judging from the essays marked back in practise for the exams, I may only get a shameful 5marks, a dramatic fail. The outcome? I flunk English, while skewing the average grade for the college down while giving Yeadon a bad reputation-

YES!!!!

What's the deal with public transport?

Is this politics in motion? Why is it that when I want to get somewhere quick- in this case, college - the bus decides not to turn up for over 40 minutes?? The 290 is supposed to run every 20 minutes at this point in the day, the time when the 'youf' are [supposed to be] in school and the OAP come out!

Then after welling up all that hate towards the bus people, yet not wanting to divert it at the bus drivers coz who are they to blame, you step on the bus steady footed only for the driver to pull away just before you take your seat!!

Ken Livingston- I'M COMING FOR YOU!

~I managed to write this entire short essay on the bus to college. I'm still not there either...~

Dance with Dave!!

A request to all the ladies!!

Right now, if you wanna keep me happy, then dance!! The one thing that'll always get me up right now is to dance - get up and let your inhibitions go!!

EVERBODY DANCE NOW!!

Big ups to all the year 11s leaving today and doing exams next week. The leaver's entertainment was great, especially feeling Danielle!! I couldn't help but dance along!!

Must dance along now... YAFEness to all!!

Late Night Dave Thoughts

Here's what's going on in my mind right now...

  • Where do snails come from? I mean, I'm walking home and they're all over the pavements! Obviously they hide til its wet outside, but what do they do in the meantime?
  • Why does it rain when I wear my good kicks?
  • What are the year 11s doing right now? I never even pictured some of those kids growing up and leaving school :( Even sadder is that I never caught up with a lot of them- how's Mimi (Fifi lol) doing? And what a great singer Danielle is! Even more hurtful is I never signed their leaver's books!
  • Speaking of leaver's books, what will I write in other's? How about Sharon's? Why does Rhonda have to leave? Should I get a leaver's book for myself? Will people write in it, will they mean what they say?
  • How come I've had over 50hits to my MSN Space within a day? (thanks for looking btw!)

"Dave, you look troubled" - yep, that's coz I'm thinking, looking for answers to rhetorics...

G'nite

Ay... ayo?

Yea another late night for me. You know what I do lying in bed. I think. I think, and right now I'm like "Ayo?" lol

Its in these run ups to exams that life begins to get wierd. Same happened before GCSEs. I thought it was just a thing with people in my year, but it happens with even strangers!

Last Friday a ragged man asked me how much my phone cost when I was on the bus. Saturday always has wierd people in Richmond. Like the man in tights I saw! I bunk English on Monday but walk back in on Tuesday like I did nothing wrong lol! Tuesday the girls want to go for drinks but noone has money. Yet I have my card. Later Ish's brother hugs me (eh?). Today some kid in college wants me to sell him my phone! On the way home I see two girls I haven't seen in months- I forget one of their names! One after the other. Lastly someone else called Dave has been reading my blog lol.

No doubt a time of odd coincidences, but some just cant be explained scientifically...

That's just me reflecting though.

LUCKY BOY!!

Well I am arent i?

Not doing Yeadon work, bunking a Monday lesson then being let back into class on a Tuesday morning, someone up there loves me!!

Everyone's telling me "Go see her, you'll only make it worse!" and i keep leaving it (well, i do get distracted easily) Given that over the weekend i did have a show to do, then very little sleep and had to write out a 40mark essay on Sunday night.... I should count my lucky stars I'm still in that class, but sadly i dont own a telescope...

A lot of people think i'm down at the moment. In truth, i dont think i am, I just dont wanna talk to most of you!! I also just self-diagnosed myself with hyperinsomnia, so my sleeping is a little erratic and i do get snappy. All i can say is keep me well fed and tend to me when i need it

As for everything else, ya know, keep it jiggy and i'll be jiggy too.

And big up the particular mother going Debenhams tonight as well..... beijinhoes!!

Keep it shmoothe...

Twas a good day!

Living stress-free is the life for me!

  • Called up work this morning to ask for the afternoon of tomorrow. No sooner had I said I had to do a show in the afternoon they immediately said "Ah yes, you want to book leave! Ok, after 3 okay?" NO DOUBT LADY! My job is the dog's down-low!
  • Waiting on the doorstep for me is a package- oh yes, its a CD, for mee!
  • Bop to the shower, switch it on- the water's just right!
  • Write up the end of my psychology essay, scan and email it, all smoothe.
  • Turn up to Media late, Crown is cool, an essay flows from my pen!
  • Leave for psychology, tutor forgets about my essay- COOL!
  • Step out, hit up the common room and get down to some chicken dancing (WHY?) with Sharon, Ads & Rash.
  • Hop on the bus, head up Stanwell, go see Ish. Seeing Ish is like something beautiful. Distance does indeed make the heart grow fonder. Probably the climax of my day lol.
  • Now I've tomorrow's show and I'm feelin excited like WHAT!

Today was a grand day,I must logoff before its over!

Nearing the end...

Nearing the end...

Near the end of two things: my academic year at college and MY TETHER! I think its hard for people to understand the pressure students are under, especially Yeadon.

A huge FUNK YOU (MSN don't allow cursing!) in her direction! To think the only lesson I take is English, well ya know, EXCUSE ME but I can't cater for every teacher, and what's more, I prioritise the most important first! To be stubborn enough to say you wont teach me on Monday if I don't see her takes the biscuit. If the woman wants politeness from me, I'll make an attempt to stay awake in her lessons!

Ms Bartholemew is on the same wavelength. Having a go at me coz I never registered in her lesson then storming off, not hearing me out. I see the mole's gone from her face. Damn straight! Otherwise I'd make a molehill out of it!

Yea so, that's my mindstate right now.

My next goal is pulling off this performance on Saturday without messing up my moves. Can't mess up in front of semi-pros. I'm at the front too. Ah gee...
