Read on, read on... sorry about the bad layout, from time to time the blog goes funny. Try downloading FireFox to fix any problems with viewing the site. I keep the blog to maintain memories I'm likely to forget and share them with the world. Typing stuff is also easier than writing with a pen and saves paper:) You can select which blog subject I've written under on the left, although most things will be Thoughts and Feelings or Rant (its too easy to rant about stuff)

Fusion - how it went

Can't say it went too bad actually.

Everything went smoothly as you would expect an organised event to go, only it went A LOT smoother than any event I've been to!

After the dress/tech rehearsal was done and it came to the real thing, everything went so quickly! There was no waiting time between each act, so each half of the show took probably no more than half an hour? Before we knew it we were called up to close the show!

Man. I wont lie. We looked dope!

Full black hooded tracksuit. Black matte masks, finished in red spray. Painted black nails (yes, mine were black like everyone else, male AND female!) and the veins of our hands emphasised in black eye liner. Theatrical we were. Can't wait to see the DVD!

Anyway, there's something about stage make up (I'd rather not call it make up, but I guess that's what it is...) that my body can't take.

We did our set, the show finished and we hit the concrete outside to freestyle (we're urban) and waited for the minibus to take us back to play PS2.
Now, I don't know the first thing about removing stage make up because I don't ever wear it. I didn't bother showering or removing what I had on because soap and water wont remove it, or why would you always see women taking it off with cotton pads?

The chemicals in the hairspray used to finalise the eye liner drawn on my hands must have been absorbed into my skin (by way of osmosis), because after a bit I felt fucked up.
I don't know if it was the chemicals in the stuff, or it was on my skin too long, or that I had a late night, but it must have found its way into my blood and decided to lay its nausea upon me.

The better half of my bank holiday was ruined as a result and I suffered a lack of sleep the next night. I guess all good things have to come to an end.

O yeah, no lie, when removing the nail varnish I managed to splash the remover in my eye. Don't ask how the hell that's possible, but my thumb flicked up as I was wiping it with a soaked cotton pad and it splashed into my eye. How foolish. I rinsed under water for a few minutes, as directed on the bottle.

Next show is on Saturday, repeating the set we did at Fusion. Not sure I'll have work off for it though. Wont be wearing that make up, that's for sure.

Thafe.
